Gradara’s hill has always been a border territory between Marche and Romagna; it is overlooked by a majestic stronghold surrounded by a little meieval village with its city walls. A place full of pleasant treats since the ancient times, its name comes from “grata aura” which means “fresh air”. Gradara offers to its visitors ages of hystory in a suggestive medieval set. Everything is on point: a hill that overlooks the valley and the sea horizon , a deep forest and a legendary castle exalted by the contrast between it’s yellow bricks, the blue of the sky and the green of the nearby farmlands. The castle hosted the most important families of the meieval an Reinassance’s ages: Malatesta, Sforza, Borgia and Della Rovere; it was also the set of important and legendaries hystorical events.
